How to Distort and Relatively move your 3D Design in Aurora3D

1. Sometimes, we need make some special shape and text, our products provide some distort and relatively move, rotate function between shape and text. In this tutorial, we can learn how to make it. First, we can create a object, has a shape and text.

2. Select the object, and switch to “Design” tab. Set the shape distort type and value.

3. Set the text distort value, in this sample, we select Sector. We can get this effect.

4. And if we want change the text direction, we can set the rotate value on the letter option.

5. Change the text distort properties, get bellow effect.

6. If we want rotate and move this text, use Text option. Set the angle and position.

7. At the last, through the Distort, Text, Letter and other option, we can get the final effect.

8. If we want set a reflection effect, we can make a copy and rotate it, and set the alpha, or we can use the reflection to set it.

How to use Freehand Shape to create Special 3D Object

1. When you need draw a shape by yourself, you can use the freehand tool. You can free to draw some special shape with your mouse. Create point and link it with Bezier. First, click the freehand button on the left toolbar.

2. On the freehand shape dialog, we can create some shapes or import svg or font shape and adjust it, or we can directly draw a shape. For the efficiency, we create a circle and adjust it.

3. If we want scale this circle, just select it and click scale button adjust it.

4. In this guide, we want to create a ring, so we need create another circle and make it to hole.

5. If we need make the small circle to hole, we need select and click “Invert Selected Path”. Then when we save it, the circle will change to a hole.

6. Click these point, we can move it and we can use arrow key on the keyboard to control the direction of move. If we want change the point to Bezier, we can use right-click to switch it.

7. Double click to add a point.

8. If we want make the Bezier with 2 different direction, you can hold “Ctrl” key and use the mouse click the point and move it.

9. Select the path and rotate it.

10. When we finished, click “Save”. Got this special shape.

11.We can add text on it and use the shape and text style templates to change the effect.

12. If you want edit this shape on the freehand tool again, just right-click on it and select “Edit Freehand Shape”.

How to make Texture Animation and Dynamic Background by Aurora 3D Animation

1. When you create some 3D Logo or Text, but we want make some dynamic for them. Then, we need use Texture Animation function. Let’s do it, first, create a 3D text, select a texture and check “Reflection” and “Mirror” box.

2. Click “Animation” button, we got the “Texture Animation” dialog. We can select animation templates or change scroll, rotate and scale value to make texture animation. Click “close” button, we’ll get the text bevel texture animation effect.

3. In the background functions, the “SkyBox” and “Dynamic” have the similar function of texture animation. Click the background and select Dynamic. you can choose one of the many dynamic background texture.

4. When we selected the image, we can click the animation button. We can set the image animation on the dialog as same as texture animation.

5. We set a scroll animation in this guide, Click ok and ok, we can looked this effect, the picture scroll on the background.

6. If you select SkyBox background, you need set 2 pictures at least. And you can set animation like above step. Have fun.

How to use Gradient and Multi-Texture in Aurora3D Software

1. Many situations, we need use the gradient texture for our shape or text, so let’s learn how to use our gradient and multi-texture functions. First, crate a shape.

2. Select this shape, switch to color tab and click “Gradient” button.

3. On the Gradient dialog, we can set the gradient style, color, direction and so on.

4. We can add stop point on the color bar, just right-click on it for new stop, delete, flip all, etc,. and we can change the gradient style and set the properties for them.

5. When we want mix different texture, just click “Multi-Texture” button on Color tab.

6. We can set mix 3 textures use gradient or picture and set alpha for them.

7. When we finished, click OK, look the effect.

How to make Special 3D Shapes with shape properties

1. In our software templates, we can find some logo or text made of special shapes. This guide will teach you how to make these special shapes.

2. First, we create a rect. Switch to the Shape tab, we can see every shapes properties. Adjust the hole value on the Rect Properties, we can create a hole on the rect.

3. We can use the Shape Type to switch the shape type. Click the round rect, change the shape to round rect, we can find more properties on the round rect.

4. Make hole to “0”, and uncheck the “Left Top”and “Left Bottom” box. Change ”round radius” to “0.5”, get effect likes bellow picture.

5. Switch shape type to Ellipse, and change the Ellipse Hole.

6. Switch the shape type to Arc, change the Start Angle, Sweep Length and hole on the Arc Properties. We can get a sector or a semicircular.

7. Switch the shape type to Concave Polygon. Change Side Number, Inner Diameter and Hole value on the Concave Polygon Properties.

8. Switch the shape type to Convex Polygon, and change the side number and hole value on the properties.

9. Switch the shape type to arrow, and change some settings on Arrow Properties.

10. Switch the shape type to round cube, and adjust Bevel value on the properties.

11. PS: when we use the round cube, if we need select a texture, we must be check “Reflection” and “Mirror” box. If not, maybe we’ll look some texture issue on the round cube.

12. Switch shape type to Ring, and change radius and angle value on the ring properties. if we want create a special ring, we can scale this shape with the manipulator.

How to import SVG and Adjust it by Aurora 3D Text Logo Maker

1. When we use Illustrator or Coral Draw make vector graphic, use our product, we can make it to 3D. Let’s learn how to import SVG and make it to 3D.

2. First, use the menu: File -> Import SVG, select a SVG and open it.

3. Then, we can set the shape depth by the manipulator, sometimes we’ll see this issue, the bevel has some problem. By this way, we can solve this issue, right click on the SVG and select “Edit Freehand Shape”.

4. The anticlockwise of the point order is the reason. So, we can select of the circle and click the “Invert Selected Path” button make these point order to clockwise.

5. If we want edit this svg, double click on the line to add a point. And right click on the point, we can switch the point between Bezier or Regular.

6. Click “save” button, we can get this effect.

7. You also can correct this issue by select the winding type, see following, you can find the option in Design tab of the properties window.

Note: When you export a SVG by Adobe Illustrator, if the SVG have text, please select ‘Convert to outline’ in the text option when you export it.

How to import Image with Transparent into Aurora3D Software

1. When we make some picture in photoshop or other graphic design software, maybe we need import in our products and make more 3D effect. Ok, let’s learn it. First, Click File -> Import Image on the menu.

2. On the Image Selector, we select a PNG (with transparent) and open it.

3. When we import it, maybe we can find the transparent has some issue, we can see the background, not the shape behind of this PNG.

4. In order to solve this issue, select the picture and set the shape alpha to 250.

5. Then, look the picture is normally. The issue has been solved.

6. If we want make a button, we can select the Icon Templates to replace this png.

How to import 3D Model and change Properties by Aurora3D

1. In our products, we can import 3D Model, and make some animation for it. First, select the menu: File -> Import 3D Model.

2. In the 3D Model Selector, we can import 3DS, OBJ, DAE, DXF, MS3D, BLEND, etc,.

3. When we import a Model, we can right click on the Model and select any part of the Model.

4. Switch to the Color tab, and change the color or texture for the part of the 3D Model.

5. We can select the part of the model and change them one by one. When we finished, we can rotate, move or make animation on it.

How to export Image and Animation by Aurora3D Software

1. When we finished our design, we need export it. Sometimes we need export a picture, sometimes we need export to video, GIF or SWF, sometimes we need the transparent background, sometimes we don’t. So, we provide two way to export your design. Click “Export” button.

2. First, we select “Export Image”. If you want export transparent background, check the “Transparent Background” box. If you want set region, you can set “Save Region” left, top, right and bottom.

3. “Antialiasing Quality”: if your graphic card support FSAA, please Hardware AA, this is better. If your graphic card can’t support FSAA, please select Software AA.

4. We can export format including PNG, JPG, TIFF, TGA, BMP, XPM, XBM, PPM, ICO, GIF etc,.

5. Second, we select “Export Animation”. We can get a “Export Animation” dialog. If you want export a video with transparent background, Check “Transparent Background” option and select “No Video Compression”.

6. If you want export a video with other encode, select “Yes Video Compression”, and click “Compression Format” button, select and configure Compressor on the dialog.

7. When you Export GIF, you don’t need select “Transparent Background” box.

8. If we want export high quality animation with transparent background and import in other video edit software, we can export “Image Sequence”, the format we can used PNG, TGA..

How to arrange Multi-object and make a 3D Group Animation

1. When we make some 3D logo or text, maybe we need use multi shape or text, so we need arrange them. In this tutorial, we can learn how to do this. First, add a round-cube, and copy to three.

2. Then, in order to align them, we select one cube and right click on it, select “Arrange -> Reset Rotation”.

3. Second, make other cube rotation same as the first. Select the three cube (must be let the manipulator on the first cube, you can select the first cube at last), click “Arrange” button and select “Same Rotation”

4. Select all cube and click “Arrange” button, select “Align Horizontal”.

5. Then, we got this result, and continue select “Distribute Horizontal”.

6. Select all cube and right click on these cube, make them to a Group.

7. Make two group copies, click “Arrange” button select “Align Vertical”.

8. Click “Arrange” again, and select “Distribute Vertical”.

9. Select all groups, and make another group.

10. Rotate the group Y axis, make the value to 90.

11. Make 2 copies for the group, click “Arrange” and select “Align Horizontal”.

12. Make all groups to one big group.

13. Look, we can rotate the Y axis for this big group, and we can get this effect.

14. If you want make some animation with animation templates, just select this group, and switch to “Animation” tab, and set “Light Animation” or other animation style.
